چکیده

Dogs loaded with sodium-retaining and antidiuretic hormones were given a rapid saline infusion intravenously. Increased sodium excretion occurred with lowered filtration rate and renal denervation. Cross circulation between infused and non-infused dogs suggested the presence of a natriuretic hormone with a short half-life. Effect of thoracic cava obstruction on response of proximal tubule sodium reabsorption to saline infusion.

We have recently demonstrated that in the normal dog infusion of isotonic or hypertonic saline results in marked depression of sodium reabsorption in the proximal tubule (1). This depression is independent of the effect of saline infusion on filtration rate and is not blocked by reduction of filtration rate. Such depression in proximal tubule reabsorption appears to account for the diuresis kno...

Identification of xanthurenic acid 8-O-beta-D-glucoside and xanthurenic acid 8-O-sulfate as human natriuretic hormones.

Hormonal regulation of salt excretion and water balance by the kidneys is well documented. Before 1961, it was widely believed that the glomerular filtration rate and the steroid hormone aldosterone controlled sodium balance in the body. In 1961, deWardener et al. [de Wardener HE, Mills IH, Clapham WF, Hayter CJ (1961) Clin Sci 21:249-258] showed that when these two variables were controlled, t...

بررسی اثر داروی ضد سرطانی پومالیدومید بر فعالیت حیاتی و القای آپوپتوز سلول‌های تک هسته‌ای مغز استخوان

Background and Objective: Pomalidomide - a combination of Lenalidomide and Thalidomide drugs- is one of the newest anticancer drugs. Pomalidomide induces apoptosis in cancer cells. Furthermore, few studies indicating its relatively low cytotoxic effects on normal peripheral blood cells have been carried out. However, there is yet no information about the effects of Pomalidomide on bone marrow c...

Pravastatin transdermal patch: Effect of the formulation and length of microneedles on in- vitro percutaneous absorption studies.

Transdermal patches loaded with pravastatin was previously characterized in another published study by Serrano-Castañeda et al; 2015. These transdermal patches (TP) were generated by the plate casting technique, the in vitro percutaneous absorption studies of TP were evaluated for three different formulations of TP with different quantities of Pluronic F-127 (PF-127): i) without PF-127 (TP W), ...
